Joanna is an Associate at Gilshenan & Luton. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2023.

Joanna regularly appears in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts across Queensland and New South Wales. Through this work, she has developed a strong working knowledge of criminal law procedure and courtroom advocacy. She represents clients in Supreme Court bail applications, Magistrates and Children’s Court sentences and trials, and instructs Counsel on complex matters in the District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Joanna is passionate about protecting her clients’ rights and is committed to providing clear, strategic advice throughout the legal process. She places a strong emphasis on communication, ensuring clients feel informed, supported and confident at every stage of their matter.

Outside the office, Joanna enjoys playing tennis and spending time by the beach on the Gold Coast, where she was raised.
