Kristian joined Gilshenan & Luton Legal Practice in 2026.
He began his legal career with a boutique private defence firm on the Gold Coast following his admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2019, practising as a solicitor from 2021. Kristian has worked predominantly in criminal law, domestic violence and family law. While he has a particular interest in criminal law, he has developed a broad and adaptable skillset, reflecting the modern shift away from siloed legal practice.
He has experience appearing in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts of Queensland, as well as in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Kristian is acutely aware of the significant personal impact criminal proceedings can have on individuals, and he is committed to assisting clients to navigate the criminal justice system with clarity, care and confidence.
Outside of law, Kristian was a professional gymnast for 13 years. He enjoys good coffee, playing guitar, and has more recently developed an interest in baseball.
